
Well, I've only been in the system for maybe little less than five months now, but I have been a patron of the library since elementary school. The web 2.0 is a significant way of making materials and information more efficient for access. I agree with the one guy who stated "We need to focus our efforts not on teaching research skills but on eliminating the barriers that exist between patrons and the information they need, so they can spend as little time as possible wrestling with lousy search interfaces and as much time as possible actually reading and learning.Release lightweight services (Chip Nilges on Web 2.0). I'm a clerical aide II and I work at a smaller branch, where I have to deal with being the jack of trades (Not assigned to one particular task). Often times I'm approached on desk to answer very difficult questions from fussy patrons. In a situation as such, the Web 2.0 would be very vital.
